Fire Resistance ASTM E84 Luxyclad

CAN/ULC-S114/S135 & ASTM E84, Surface Burning Characteristics

The purpose of this testing method is to determine the relative burning behaviour of the material, by observing the flame spread along the specimen. Achieving the highest possible accordance (Class 1, also known as Class A), Luxyclad is a non-combustible solution to real wood, with low flame spread characteristics.

Neutral Salt Spray Testing

The salt spray (or salt fog) test is a standardized and popular corrosion test method, used to check corrosion resistance of materials and surface coatings. Sprayed for 5000 hours,  Luxyclad obtained the highest accordance for the salt spray test. This ensures a durable, long lasting finish for coastal environments, and quality assurance in the production of our siding, and soffit.

Luxyclad air infiltration

ASTM E283, Air Infiltration

This test method is a standard procedure for determining the air leakage characteristics under specified air pressure differences at ambient conditions. Luxyclad's air infiltration is in accordance with ASTM E283 and met all the requirements.

ASTM E330, Structural Performance

This test method describes the determination of the structural performance of exterior windows, doors, skylights, and curtain walls under uniform static air pressure differences, using a test chamber. This test method is intended only for evaluating the structural performance associated with the specified test specimen. Luxyclad's structural performance is in accordance with ASTM E330 and met all the requirements.

Water Resistance Luxyclad

ASTM E331, Water Penetration Resistance

This test method is a standard procedure for determining the resistance to water penetration under uniform static air pressure differences. No water penetration was observed in testing. All water that penetrated the exterior rain screen cladding was controlled and drained to the exterior with no continuous streaming observed.
